Parenting classes cover back-to-school, anger management
PORTSMOUTH When its time for back-to-school, preschool or child care, being prepared helps your child to be more successful and makes family life less hectic. Thats why Families First is offering a Back to School (or Preschool, or Child Care) class this month, along with other parenting classes, parent groups and family programs.
All parents and children are welcome at these programs, which include free child care with advance signup. Most programs are free of charge. Advance signup is needed for all programs (unless Drop-ins OK is noted), and is always needed for child care. Call 603-422-8208 ext. 2.
August programs include:
At the Community Campus in Portsmouth " Keeping Your Cool: Anger Help for Everyday Parenting. Tuesdays, August 4-25, 6 p.m. " Back to School, Preschool or Child Care: Preparing for a Successful Year. Thursdays, August 13 and 27, 9:30 a.m. " Toddler Playtime. Mondays, weekly, except August 31; 9:30-11 a.m. Drop-ins OK. " Babytime. Tuesdays, weekly, except September 1; 10-11:30 a.m. Drop-ins OK. " Preschool Playtime. Fridays, weekly, except September 1; 9:30-11 a.m. Drop-ins OK. " Parent Recharge. First and third Thursday each month, 9:30-11 a.m.
In Epping " Family Morning Out. Wednesdays, July 15 through August 12; 9:30 a.m. at Epping Elementary School, 17 Prospect St.
In Seabrook " Parent Recharge Tuesdays, weekly, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Seacoast Youth Services, 867 Lafayette Rd.
Families Firsts Grandparenting group is taking the summer off and will return in September.
