Rite Aid Foundation grant to help Families First care for uninsured
PORTSMOUTH, NH For the second year in a row, The Rite Aid Foundation has made a $5,000 grant to Families First Health and Support Center. The grant will help the nonprofit community health center absorb the cost of providing subsidized primary care to uninsured patients, who are offered discounts based upon their income.
The medical services provided by Families First Health and Support Center are critical to the uninsured patients they serve, said Gayle Rife, manager of The Rite Aid Foundation. We are pleased to be able to join with Families First to provide this much-needed health care to our neighbors in need. It is organizations like Families First that fill the unmet needs in our communities.
Families First, the Seacoasts community health center, provides affordable primary, prenatal and oral health care; parenting and family programs; one-on-one family support; and mobile health care for people who are homeless.
