Help Families First Win a $20K Grant!

Families First is one of 16 finalists, nationwide, competing for five $20,000 grants from Tom's of Maine (the natural personal care products company based in Kennebunk, Maine). The five winners will be chosen based on an online vote. Click here to vote for Families First Health & Support Center and to learn how we'll use the grant to expand our dental services to the homeless.

Very important! Families First is one of the smallest clinics, in one of the smallest cities, competing for this grant. Our only hope of winning is to mobilize a large group of people to vote once a day through March 12, 2010. Please help by doing two things:
1) Forward a link to this page to as many people as you can, worldwide.
2) Sign up below to receive an email reminding you to vote once a day. (The email list will not be used for any other purpose.) Please enter ALL email addresses at which you are willing to receive reminders (i.e. home and work).

A few voting tips:

  • The placement of Families First will vary each time you go to vote. Just keep scrolling until you find Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth. (Please don’t confuse us with “Family Health Center” in San Diego.)
  • If you don't see the "Vote" button next to our name, it is probably because your “View” is set so large that the right-hand side of the screen, where the Vote button is, is cut off. Solutions: Either go under "View" and "Zoom" to a smaller text size, or use the scroll bar at the bottom of your screen to shift to the right.
  • You must wait 24 hours between each vote.
  • You may vote daily from each of your computers (i.e. home & work)
  • After you click the Vote button, you will be asked to retype two blurry words. (This is to prevent automated voting.) If you can’t read the words well enough to retype, keep clicking the “reload” button (two arrows forming a circle) to get different words.
